Story
Born in a small village called Devpur, Kavre, Nepal.
Last kid among 5 — parents: school teacher and housewife.
Admitted to a boarding school at age 8 because my father wanted to make me a doctor.
Started working at 17 as a cricket journalist for CricNepal and got my first marketing deals.
Dropped undergraduate physics to choose entrepreneurship. Passion for coffee and books led to opening Palpasa Cafe at 20.
Failed miserably in the coffee business, took another year gap from college and travelled to Dolpa, Nepal — one of the remotest parts of the world — to volunteer and teach kids in school.
Dolpa taught me a lot about life and death, sorrow and happiness, success and failure, expectations and relationships. It still drives me today.
Dolpa gave me a lot; I had to give something back. Helped raise $34k for a school to build 2 classrooms in 2020, right after the first COVID lockdown.
Always knew this is the age of ideas and technology. Came back refreshed and started a cybersecurity company with a college friend Nischal and two tech nerds — Ajay & Shishir. Ajay is one of the best ethical hackers from Nepal.
Fascinated by Bitcoin and blockchain, I did my final year college thesis on “How to use blockchain technology to reduce the cost of transmitting remittance” in 2020.
Built an automated VAPT tool called ReconWithMe and got featured in Kathmandu Post in 2021, but could never find PMF for the product.
Got the first opportunity to work internationally with a Solana project called Zebec — helped them build the initial product and raise $32M during Solana summer 2021.
Made my first $100k from 2.5 SOL and lost most of it trading NFTs.
Left Zebec after a year and started Mokshya as an open source protocol in 2022. Received first grants from Aptos Foundation to build Wapal, the leading NFT marketplace on Aptos.
Got introduced to perps trading. Took a $1,200 long on SOL at $15 on Binance and closed at $151 — making the second $100k+ of my life.
Since then I’ve been trading perps almost daily.
Got married in early 2025 to my long-time girlfriend and love of my life Anupa, after 6+ years together.
With support from long-time mentor and investor Mr. Bala Chandrasekaran, moved to Dubai in late 2025 to chase the dream of building something big and giving back to the country.
Started building Alura at the beginning of 2025 — the discipline engine for crypto perp traders. Something I actually want.
